This increasing trend has been observed by the medical tourism and it has taken the country to among top 10 medical tourism countries in the world according to the Deloitte’s global life science outlook.

When evaluate the pharmaceutical and health care market by country, the reports also suggest that there is a growth of 8.8 % in the pharmaceutical sales in the country between the years 2013 to 2017. It has reached the total amount of US 19 billion dollars. According to the report it has been suggested that the medical health care service provide must look upon the long term strategies rather than sticking to short term profits keeping in mind the growing market conditions.

According to the survey, the report suggests that there has been 400,000 people visit Turkey in the year 2015 for medical reasons that might increase in coming years.

Turkey is working on a strategy to bring more medical tourist to the country that includes with likes of spa, health care and disable people. the foreign patients are looking for care in optometry, dentistry, plastic surgery and many other branches of medical. There are about 1600 thermal springs in Turkey that is best known for the revitalizing the health of those who seek better treatment in country.

Turkey is also planning to declare some tax free zones for the health care to attract more tourist who seeks treatment. They ministry of health in Turkey has declare its intention to increase the number of patients from abroad by 500,000 by the end of year 2015 and it will be 2 million by the end of year 2023.
